Finn Allen scored a hundred while Tim Seifert amassed a fifty to take New Zealand to a nine-wicket win over South Africa in the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. New Zealand will face India or England in the final of the tournament on March 8. Chasing 170, the Kiwis reached the target in 12.5 overs.
Earlier, South Africa were unable to get going in the batting department, with Marci Jansen accumulating an unbeaten 55 runs off 30 balls, laced with 5 sixes and 2 fours. His effort took the score to 169/8. Dewald Brevis (34) and Tristan Stubbs (29) were also among the runs. However, there was no contributions from other batters.
Matt Henry (3 wickets), Cole McConchie (2 wickets) and Rachin Ravindra (2 wickets) bowled well.
