Vladimir is among Netflix's most eagerly awaited new programmes for 2026 and it's now available to watch in its entirety.

Adapted from the bestselling novel by Julia May Jonas, all episodes of the dark, steamy drama were released onto the platform this past Thursday (5th March).

Developed and co-written by the author, the programme follows a middle-aged professor known simply as M (portrayed by Rachel Weisz), who develops an obsession with a captivating newcomer to her college's English Department, Vladimir (Leo Woodall).

Her infatuation rapidly becomes overwhelming, jeopardising both her professional life and her deteriorating marriage to her husband, John (John Slattery), who faces a controversy of his own.

The programme has already climbed Netflix's TV chart but, for those yet to begin watching, just how many episodes can audiences expect?, reports the Mirror.

How many episodes are in Vladimir?

Binge-watchers are fortunate as all episodes of the programme are presently available to watch on Netflix.

As is typical with new releases on the streaming service, the complete series was made available on the same day last week.

There are eight episodes in total, each lasting between 27-32 minutes.

This brings the series to approximately four hours in length, making it ideal for either a marathon viewing session if you have a lengthy evening available, or you could divide your watching across several nights.

Vladimir's episodes are titled:

  • We Have Always Lived in the Castle
  • The Awakening
  • Enormous Changes at the Last Minute
  • Bad Behavior
  • Play It As It Lays
  • Because It Is Bitter And Because It Is My Heart
  • Everything That Rises Must Converge
  • Against Interpretation
  • Whilst Vladimir is presently an eight-part miniseries, Netflix hasn't dismissed the prospect of further episodes in a second series.

Viewers may anticipate a sequel, particularly as modifications have been made to the novel's ending to render the adaptation more open-ended.

Nonetheless, a subsequent series seems improbable at present given that the novel lacks a follow-up and the narrative appears to have reached a natural conclusion in the final episode.

Vladimir is available to stream on Netflix.
