Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a public grievance redressal session, popularly known as ‘Janata Darshan’, in Lucknow on Monday, where he interacted directly with citizens who had come from different districts to raise their concerns.

During the session, the Chief Minister personally met several complainants, received written applications from them and assured that the administration would look into their grievances. Officials from the relevant departments were instructed to take prompt action and resolve issues within a stipulated time frame.

According to officials present at the event, the complaints brought forward during the session included matters related to law and order, local administrative issues, business concerns and family disputes. The Chief Minister directed district-level administrative and police officials to ensure that legitimate complaints are addressed without unnecessary delay.

Two entrepreneurs who attended the session raised issues related to their business operations and administrative processes. After reviewing their applications, the Chief Minister asked the concerned authorities, including the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) and district officials, to examine the matter and provide solutions in a time-bound manner. He also stated that difficulties faced by investors or entrepreneurs should be addressed promptly to maintain a conducive business environment in the state.

One of the complaints came from a resident of Kasganj who alleged delay in police action regarding his case. The Chief Minister directed the Superintendent of Police to take note of the matter and ensure that appropriate steps are taken to address the grievance.

Another complainant presented a family dispute, while a separate application related to alleged illegal encroachment was also discussed. The Chief Minister indicated that such issues should be dealt with according to the law and directed officials to examine the matter.

Apart from hearing grievances, the Chief Minister also interacted with children who had accompanied their parents to the public meeting. He distributed chocolates to them and asked about their studies. During the interaction, he advised them to focus on reading books and use social media only when necessary. He also suggested that children limit the use of mobile phones and other digital devices.

Janata Darshan events are periodically organized to allow citizens to present their concerns directly before the Chief Minister and senior officials, with the aim of facilitating communication between the administration and the public.
