CBSE Class 12 English Exam Scheduled for March 12, 2026

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Class 12 English examination today, March 12, 2026. The exam is set to take place in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The English question paper will be three hours long. According to regulations, no student will be allowed to enter the examination hall after 10:00 AM. To pass the Class 12 English exam, students must secure at least 33% marks. An analysis of the CBSE Class 12 English exam will be published online after the examination concludes.


Examination Schedule Exams to Conclude by April 10

The CBSE Class 12 board examinations for 2026 will be held for 114 subjects between February 17 and April 10, across more than 8,000 examination centers. Over 18-20 lakh candidates are expected to participate in the Class 12 board exams this year.


Important Guidelines Key Instructions to Follow

Before entering the examination venue, each student must present their original CBSE Class 12 admit card and school ID for verification, as per CBSE policies. Students will be given time from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM to read the English exam question paper before the exam begins.


Exam Arrival Guidelines Arrive Early

Students are required to arrive at the examination center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time, as specified in the guidelines by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). All students are advised to be punctual.


Distribution of Question Papers When Will Question Papers Be Distributed?

Students must enter the examination hall after 10:00 AM, and the question paper will be distributed at 10:15 AM. However, no student will be permitted to start writing before 10:30 AM.


It is mandatory for each student to bring their CBSE admit card, school ID, and necessary writing materials into the examination room. No electronic devices (such as mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.) are allowed in the examination hall.
