Thirthahalli: Authorities in Thirthahalli taluk conducted inspections at hotels and gas godowns following concerns about a possible shortage of cooking gas due to the ongoing conflict in some Middle East countries.
Tahsildar Ranjith visited several hotels and LPG storage facilities in the taluk to check the availability of gas cylinders and essential supplies.
During the inspection, officials confirmed that there is currently no shortage of LPG cylinders in Thirthahalli. Adequate stock of domestic LPG cylinders for households as well as commercial cylinders used by hotels is available, officials said.
Ranjith also warned that strict legal action would be taken if anyone is found selling LPG cylinders at higher prices than permitted or if hotels are found using domestic LPG cylinders meant for household use.
Several officials were present during the inspection, including Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Shaila, Police Sub-Inspector Sushma, and Food Inspector Shashidhar.
