East Bengal beat arch-rivals Mohun Bagan, Secure 285 Points with 43 Medals

East Bengal Club hosted its 63rd Annual Athletics Meet on Sunday, March 15, at the club's ground in Kolkata. In the athletics tournament, the East Bengal team came away as overwhelming winners, beating arch-rivals Mohun Bagan.
Bengal Athletics Association's honourable secretary Kamal Kumar Mitra was present. Olympian and Arjuna Awardee Saraswati Saha attended as a special guest. East Bengal were the best team in the competition with 43 medals, while their arch-rivals Mohun Bagan came second with 15 medals to their name. The East Bengal Men's team won 23 medals, while Women's teams won 20 medals across various categories. Harishankar Roy was recognized for his gold medal in high jump at the Commonwealth Youth Games, showcasing exceptional jumping prowess.
