Galatasaray star Noa Lang was stretchered off against Liverpool after reportedly 'detaching his finger' in a horrifying injury. Lang started the Turkish heavyweights' crucial Champions League second-leg tie at Anfield on the bench and was brought on just after half-time.
However, in the 81st minute, he was stretchered off after he endured a horrific wound to his right thumb after falling down near the Liverpool goal. He collided with the advertising board and suffered a freak injury to his finger, causing play to be halted for several minutes, with blood visible. Reports claim he was taken straight to hospital and will have to undergo surgery on his injury.
As he writhed around in pain and screamed in agony, Liverpool players consoled him as medics from both the Reds and Galatasaray rushed to treat him. The forward was also seen being given oxygen as he left the pitch.
TNT Sports commentator Ally McCoist admitted he was worried for the Dutchman the minute he saw the shocked reaction of one person positioned behind the advertising hoardings.

McCoist said: "I could tell there was a significant problem because one of the girls behind there, I'm not sure if she's a photographer but you could see her face, the way she reacted."
It took a long time for medics to bandage his thumb and stop the bleeding. According to ESPN, Lang has since been taken to hospital for more treatment on his gruesome injury, while NowTV Turkey claim he's having to undergo surgery after severing his finger.

When they managed to control the cut, he was taken off the pitch on a stretcher, receiving a standing ovation from both sets of fans.
Having won the first leg 1-0 in Istanbul, Galatasaray set out with the intent of frustrating the Merseysiders' players and fans. On several occasions, the Turkish side's stars went down with injuries and remained on the ground, prompting whistles and jeers from home fans filling the stadium.
However, Victor Osimhen reacted angrily when challenged by Liverpool players after receiving treatment for several minutes on what appeared to be a genuine wrist injury. He was eventually replaced by Lang, who himself needed replacing after the freak incident in the second half.

The Reds took the lead on the night and levelled the tie on aggregate through Dominik Szoboszlai's aesthetic first-time strike from a set piece. Mohamed Salah was then given a golden opportunity from the spot to put Liverpool ahead before half-time, but saw a slack penalty easily saved by Ugurcan Cakir.
Any chance of Galatasaray beating Liverpool in the competition for the third time this season was ended early in the second half. Hugo Ekitike slotted in a low cross from Salah, before Ryan Gravenberch made it 3-0 less than a minute later.
Salah then made up for his penalty miss by cutting onto his left foot and whipping a trademark effort into the far corner to put the tie to bed. In the quarter-finals, Liverpool will face Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain, who destroyed Chelsea 8-2 on aggregate.
Slot's side will be out for revenge, having been beaten on penalties by the French heavyweights in the round of 16 last season.
