New Zealand’s star all-rounder Amelia Kerr delivered an outstanding performance, scoring a remarkable 105 runs off just 55 balls in the fifth T20I against South Africa at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. With this innings, Kerr further strengthened her reputation as one of the leading all-rounders in world cricket.

Amelia’s century also extended her record for the most consecutive 30-plus scores in women’s T20 Internationals to 11 innings. She already surpassed the previous record of nine, jointly held by Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu and Romania’s Rebecca Blake, during the fourth T20I when she amassed 31 runs off 29 balls. The latest century has now pushed that record even further.

Kerr’s exceptional run of form began in 2024 when she scored 43 off 38 deliveries against South Africa. She carried that momentum into 2025 with a solid 51 against Australia, followed by consistent contributions of 40 and 66 in the same series. Her dominance continued against Zimbabwe, where she registered scores of 101 and 82. In the ongoing series, she has maintained her consistency with scores of 78, 32, 30, 31, and now 105, playing a key role in New Zealand’s success.

Record for Most Consecutive 30+ Scores

Across her last 11 innings, Kerr has accumulated 669 runs at an impressive strike rate exceeding 140. In addition to her batting, she has also contributed significantly with the ball, claiming 12 wickets. Recently, she achieved another milestone by becoming the fastest player among full ICC member nations to reach the double of 1000 runs and 100 wickets in women’s T20Is.

Her latest innings helped New Zealand post a strong total of 194 for 6. South Africa were restricted to 102/9 and with 92-run win, New Zealand clinched the series 4-1.
