A literary discussion was organized by the All India Literary Council on Sunday at the Pravasi Bhawan in New Delhi, focusing on the book 'Dharma' by Shridhar Paradhkar. The event took place under the guidance of Pawanputra Badal, the General Secretary of the council, and was conducted by researcher Varun Kumar.

During the event, Pawanputra Badal emphasized the unique nature of the gathering, noting that speakers presented the essence of the book rather than merely reviewing it. This approach benefits readers significantly. He highlighted that each chapter of the book is thoroughly researched by the author, Shridhar Paradhkar, and it aims to inspire a transformation in the literary landscape of India while deeply rooting itself in Indian culture.

Indushekhar Tatpurush, editor of Sahitya Parikrama, remarked that the book does not merely offer classical interpretations but presents a contemporary depiction of literature's public aspect. The author has thoughtfully addressed the ethics of literature and the responsibilities of writers.

Participants including Sudhit Mishra, Surendra Kumar Arora, Ajit Kumar, Rajiv Ranjan, Pushpa Sinha, Naveen Kumar Neeraj, Vidhu Kalra, and Ankit Kumar Dubey shared their insights. They noted that the book provides a profound exploration of the Indian worldview, emphasizing the need to reintegrate the positive aspects of life into literature. It advocates for the recognition of Indian languages and stresses the importance of advancing the legacy left by previous literary figures. The book discusses the definition of literature, its potential, the Indian knowledge tradition, the responsibilities of the era, and the challenges faced by literature today. It also reflects on self-awareness and contains eighteen chapters akin to the Gita, offering guidance to contemporary writers who may have lost their way.

Notable attendees included Kamalakant Garg, the All India Literary Council's Assistant Treasurer, Sanjeev Sinha, the Office Secretary, and Brijesh Kumar Garg, Joint Secretary of Indraprastha Sahitya Bharati, along with numerous other literary figures and researchers.
