Hyderabad: Taking a swipe at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over his criticism of LDF in poll-bound Kerala, Telangana BJP chief N Ramchander Rao on Wednesday, April 1, said it is the “hypocrisy” of Congress that partners with communists in Telangana but fights them in Kerala.
No one has “mastered hypocrisy” like the Congress and its leaders, Rao said.
“Telangana mein Dosti – Keralam mein Kusti. CM @revanth_anumula goes to Keralam to campaign against the Communist, while Congress and Communists remain allies in Telangana,” the BJP leader said in a post on X.
Meanwhile, CPI’s Telangana unit secretary and MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao took exception to Reddy’s attack against Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Revanth Reddy can point to shortcomings in governance in Kerala, but should not attack the Left, the CPI leader said.
“We (Congress and CPI) are together in Telangana. Congress and Communists are together in INDIA bloc also. We have to fight against the BJP’s ideology. You have to think who will benefit if you attack Communists,” he told reporters here.
Revanth Reddy, who campaigned in Kerala on Monday in support of Congress candidates, launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Kerala goes to polls on April 9.
