Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans (GT) won the toss and decided to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Thursday. Here today Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the toss and decided to bowl first.
After the toss, Gill said that on this pitch there is swing in the first 4-5 overs and that is why considering the dew, we want to chase runs. These two matches will decide how far we go in the tournament. RCB is playing very well. They are the defending champions and are playing like that. We are playing with the same team.
Whereas RCB captain Rajat Patidar said that we were thinking of fielding first. I don’t think grass will help much. Hopefully we will make a good total. It was good to see the way we played the first half of the IPL. This is a positive sign for us, we are waiting for it. We are playing with the same team. Both the teams are as follows:-
