On May 6, President Donald Trump of the United States delivered a firm ultimatum to Iran, threatening intensified military action if the nation fails to comply with American demands. He indicated that the ongoing military operation, referred to as ‘Operation Epic Fury’, would only conclude once all U.S. conditions are satisfied. In his remarks, Trump highlighted the U.S. Navy's operations in the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that the vital shipping route would remain accessible due to the naval blockade. He stated, “If Iran agrees to the terms that have been set, which is a significant assumption, the renowned Epic Fury will cease, and the effective blockade will ensure the Strait of Hormuz remains OPEN TO ALL, including Iran. However, if they refuse, we will commence bombing at a level and intensity greater than before,” as shared in his post on Truth Social.
