Royal insiders believe Meghan Markle is plotting to rejoin the Royal Family and effectively become a Princess once more. Mark Dolan, Daily Expresso regular guest and royal podcaster, understands that Meghan's businesses have not turned out as she had hoped, and the Duchess has realised she wants to re-enter royal life.

Insiders believed the four-day trip with Prince Harry to Australia was almost a trial run, according to Mr Dolan. Speaking to host JJ Anisiobi on the Daily Expresso, he said: "It's my understanding that Meghan has realised that her solo projects aren't working, that Meghan as this amazing independent brand is not successful."

Her As Ever jams continue to sell out, but it her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, was not renewed for a third season, as confirmed in Variety, after somewhat of a flop second series, with reports suggesting it failed to crack the top 1,000 most watched programmes on the platform. The show was cleared for seasonal specials.

TalkTV star Mr Dolan claimed she now wants to fix fractured relationships with the Royals and start afresh with the family.

"My royal insiders are telling me that she's all out now to get back to the UK to reconnect with King Charles and to effectively be Princess Meghan again. That's what Australia was about, dipping their toe back in that water," he said.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sensationally stepped away from royal duties in 2020, when the pair left to live in California, and they have both openly criticised elements of the family and institution.

But Meghan has made her fondness for certain aspects of royal life apparant. In her Netflix show, she corrected her friend and Hollywood writer Mindy Kaling, when she addressed her as 'Meghan Markle'.

The Duchess quickly quipped back, stating: "You know I'm Sussex now." The exchange baffled viewers, with many pointing out that Sussex is a title, not a surname.

Similarly, in her Harper's Bazaar cover story, writer Kaitlyn Greenidge noted that Meghan was formally introduced twice during their encounters.

She wrote: "A golf cart pulls up, gravel crunching under its tyres. 'The Duchess of Sussex,' someone announces. Meghan steps out in wide-leg trousers, a silk blouse, and pavé-diamond studs by Ukrainian brand Guzema."

During their second meeting, Ms Greenidge observed: "When I enter, the house manager announces, "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex," even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house."
