New Delhi. Amidst the discussion about the sequel of Khalnayak, an old video of Sanjay Dutt is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this viral clip, Sanjay Dutt is seen dancing on the song (Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai) wearing Ghagra-choli. The special thing is that in this scene he also did the same iconic hook step, which was filmed on Madhuri Dixit. Many viewers of the new generation are surprised to see this video and want to know the story behind it.

This scene comes in the film when Madhuri Dixit’s character Ganga gets angry and refuses to eat food. Ganga calls Ballu and his gang sinners and refuses to eat their food. After this, Ballu i.e. Sanjay Dutt comes up with a unique trick to convince her. He along with his colleagues recreates the song “Choli Ke Peeche” in a fun style by wearing a woman’s getup. Seeing this comic dance of Sanjay Dutt, Ganga starts laughing and her mood improves.

The most interesting thing about this scene is that Sanjay Dutt was not considered very comfortable in dancing. Sanjay Dutt himself has narrated the story to this shoot in a press conference. He had told that director Subhash Ghai had told him that he had to shoot the scene of convincing Madhuri, so come prepared. Sanjay Dutt reached the set wearing kurta-pajama, but Subhash Ghai asked him to wear ghagra-choli.

Sanjay Dutt was surprised at first. He asked how he would wear it, then Subhash Ghai jokingly said that he should wear it over the clothes he is wearing. After this, when Sanjay Dutt reached the set wearing a ghagra-choli, he was also covered with a chunri. However, the real problem came when Subhash Ghai said that now we will have to dance on the song “Choli Ke Peeche”.

Famous choreographer Saroj Khan was not present on the set at that time. In such a situation, Subhash Ghai himself taught dance steps to Sanjay Dutt. He himself performed the iconic leg swing step seen in the film. This is the reason why this scene is still very popular among the audience.

Khalnayak, released in 1993, was one of the most popular films of that era. In the film, Jackie Shroff played the role of Inspector Ram, while Sanjay Dutt played the dreaded criminal Ballu. Madhuri Dixit was seen in the role of undercover agent Ganga. The songs and dialogues of the film are still very popular among the audience.
