A devastating incident has shaken the Gorakhpur district, leaving the community in shock. Amidst wedding preparations, a three-year-old girl tragically fell into a pot filled with boiling syrup, resulting in severe burns. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. The accident occurred in the Bansgaon police station area.
On May 12, a wedding was set to take place at the home of Surendra Yadav in Ward No. 4 of Donkhar. The family was busy preparing sweets for the celebration, while a local sweet maker, Rajendra Gupta, was making gulab jamun and other treats. At that moment, a large pot of sugar syrup was boiling nearby.
Girl Falls into Boiling Syrup
Reports indicate that Rajendra Gupta's three-year-old granddaughter, Aditi, was playing nearby. While playing, she lost her balance and fell directly into the boiling syrup. Hearing her screams, those present rushed to help. The sweet maker and others quickly pulled her out, but by then, her body had suffered severe burns, with large blisters forming on her skin. Several people also sustained burns while trying to rescue her.
Tragic Death During Treatment
The family hurriedly took Aditi to the Bansgaon primary health center, where doctors assessed her critical condition and referred her to BRD Medical College. According to medical professionals, she had sustained burns over approximately 60% of her body. Despite four hours of treatment at the medical college, the young girl passed away around 7 PM the previous evening.
Aditi was the eldest child of her parents, Abhishek and his wife, who also have a one-year-old son. The family is devastated by the loss, and the entire village is mourning this tragic event.
