Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Sai Sudarshan had won the Orange Cap by the time he was dismissed in the 17th over while playing an inning of 61 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). But SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen was out after scoring 14 runs and regained the Orange Cap within a short time.

On Tuesday, SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen started his innings with the target, just seven runs behind Sudarshan’s 501 runs. Even though Clawson could not play a big innings and was out after scoring only 14 runs, he won the Orange Cap. Currently he is on top with 508 runs.

Clausen and Sudarshan are the two batsmen to cross the 500-run mark this season and are followed by SRH’s Abhishek Sharma (481 runs), KL Rahul (Delhi Capitals, 477), and Gujarat Titans captain Shubhman Gill (467 runs). Talking about the Purple Cap, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who won the Purple Cap in 2016 and 2017, is supporting Kagiso Rabada at the top this time.

Rabada has been in amazing form in the powerplay this season and against SRH he took the wickets of Abhishek, Kishan and Smaran. He finished his spell taking three wickets for just 28 runs and was named player of the match. Now he has a total of 21 wickets in his name and Bhuvneshwar also has the same number of wickets.

However, the economy of Bhuvneshwar (7.46) is much less than Rabada (9.15) and that is why he holds the Purple Cap. Bhuvneshwar will have an opportunity to take the lead when they are in action against KKR tonight.

Behind these two are Anshul Kamboj (CSK, 19 wickets), Prince Yadav (LSG), Rashid Khan (GT) and SRH’s Ishan Malinga, who have 16 wickets each. Prasidh Krishna with 14 wickets and Jason Holder with 13 wickets in six matches are at number nine and 10.
