Moscow: One Indian worker was killed and three others injured in Moscow on Sunday as Ukraine launched one of its largest drone strikes on Russia, the Indian Embassy said.
“One Indian worker has lost his life and three others have been injured in a drone attack in Moscow region earlier today. Embassy officials have visited the location and met the injured workers in the hospital,” the Indian Embassy informed through a post on social media.
“The Embassy condoles the loss of life and is working with the company management and local authorities to provide necessary assistance to the workers,” the Embassy wrote.
Besides the Indian national, the Ukrainian strike killed at least three others and wounded a dozen people, according to local authorities.
The confirmation of Indian casualty came hours after Russia said it faced a wave of nearly 600 Ukrainian drone attacks overnight that reportedly killed four people.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the barrage was “entirely justified” retaliation for Russia’s continued attacks on Ukraine.
