Bookmakers have released the latest Premier League relegation odds for the upcoming season, giving an early indication of where Leeds United stand following their successful return to the top flight.
As reported by yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s Leeds United managed to stay up comfortably in their first season back, finishing 14th in the table. Sunderland, on the other hand, impressed by securing seventh place and earning a Europa Conference League spot.
Among the newly promoted sides last season, Burnley — who had finished as runners-up in the Championship — were the only team to suffer immediate relegation, ending the campaign second from bottom. West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers also dropped out of the Premier League.
The relegated trio will be replaced by Coventry City, Ipswich Town, and Hull City, who were promoted as champions, runners-up, and play-off winners respectively. Arsenal will enter the new season as the defending Premier League champions.
The early relegation odds point to a clear gap between the league’s elite and the rest, with Arsenal priced at 1000-1 to go down, Liverpool and Manchester United both at 750-1, Aston Villa at 100-1, Chelsea at 80-1, and Tottenham Hotspur at 40-1. A complete list of odds for the coming season is now available, with strong opinions already forming about Leeds United’s chances and the overall relegation fight.
