Prayagraj: The High Court Bar Association, Allahabad has achieved an important achievement by seriously raising the legitimate concerns of the advocates regarding the fees and security fund to the allotment of newly constructed advocate chambers in the Allahabad High Court complex.
As a result of strong and positive advocacy of advocate interests under the leadership of Bar Association President Rakesh Pandey, Senior Advocate and General Secretary Akhilesh Kumar Sharma, Advocate, a significant amendment has been made in the pre-determined rates of chamber allotment.
In view of the detailed discussion meeting held with the Chief Justice and the Chairman of the Chamber Allocation Committee and the facts, suggestions presented by the Bar Association and the sentiments of the advocate community, it has been decided to significantly reduce the amount of monthly rent and security fund.
According to the revised system, the rent fixed earlier at ₹ 2500 and ₹ 5000 per month has been reduced to ₹ 1500 per month in most of the categories. Similarly, providing comprehensive relief in the amount of security fund, the fixed amount has been reduced substantially, which will directly benefit the entire advocate class including young and budding advocates.

The Bar Association had made it clear from the very beginning that the chamber allocation process should be transparent, fair and advocate friendly and unnecessary financial burden should not be imposed on any advocate.
The High Court Bar Association, Allahabad reiterates its commitment towards the rights, respect and welfare of the advocate community and expresses confidence that this decision will further strengthen the excellent tradition of positive communication and coordination between the Court and the Bar.
