Box Office Collection: How did 'Main Wapas Aaunga' and 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata' perform on their opening day?

Several new films hit theaters on June 12, including 'Main Wapas Aaunga', 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata', and 'Governor'. These films did not generate significant box-office collections; the South Indian film 'Peddi' overshadowed them. The film 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' also marked its presence at the box office.

Main Wapas Aaunga

Imtiaz Ali's film 'Main Wapas Aaunga' was released in theaters on June 12. It did not perform very well on its first day, collecting ₹1.15 crore at the box office. The film, which depicts the pain of the Partition, features performances by Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari Wagh.

Bharat Bhagya Vidhata

'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata', starring Kangana Ranaut, also arrived in theaters on June 12. The film had a slow start at the box office, collecting only ₹1 crore on its opening day. It tells the story of the 2008 Mumbai attacks and the courage of the hospital staff; Kangana plays the role of a nurse in the film.

Governor: The Silent Saviour

Manoj Bajpayee's film 'Governor' was released in theaters on June 12. It failed to attract a large audience on its first day, collecting ₹90 lakh at the box office. Set against the backdrop of the 1991 economic crisis, the film is directed by Chinmay Mandlekar.

Peddi

'Peddi', starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, continued to perform well, recording strong collections even on its ninth day. It earned ₹5.15 crore on Friday, following a collection of ₹6.30 crore on Thursday. Its total box-office collection has now reached ₹198.70 crore.

 

Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai
The film 'Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai', starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde, earned ₹1.85 crore on its eighth day. On the seventh day, the film had earned ₹2.60 crore. Its total collection has reached ₹38.70 crore.
