West Bengal UCC Bill: There has been talk of a uniform civil code across the country for some time. This is also included in the main manifesto of BJP. After BJP ruled states Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Assam, now there are reports of government implementing Uniform Civil Code in West Bengal also. According to media reports, UCC bill can be introduced in the Assembly on Monday. If this happens, Bengal will also join the states taking initiative on UCC. A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee was held in the Bengal Assembly this evening. However, detailed information on this has not yet been made public by the government.
Promise was made in the resolution letter
In media reports, there is a possibility of debate on this issue during the upcoming assembly session. This matter was also discussed during the meeting. During the assembly elections, BJP had announced to implement UCC within 6 months of forming the government in the state. The UCC bill was also included in the BJP’s manifesto.
Amit Shah announced
Let us tell you, while releasing the BJP’s resolution letter during the West Bengal Assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had announced that UCC will be implemented within six months if BJP government is formed in the state. The Home Minister had claimed that the people of Bengal will bring BJP to power. During this, he had announced that if the BJP government comes to power, strict action will be taken against infiltration in the state. Besides, the borders of West Bengal will also be made more secure than before.

Action taken against infiltrators
During the assembly elections, Home Minister Amit Shah had also announced that strict action would be taken against Bangladeshi infiltrators if BJP government comes to power in the state. There was also momentum from the state government on this. The Suvendu Adhikari government of the state had launched a campaign across the state under the policy of Detect, Delete and Deport. Order was also given to open a detention center on the border. After this, a large number of infiltrators were seen on the Bangladesh border.
