When authorities typically release a list of confiscated assets, it often includes mundane items with little excitement. This time, however, the inventory resembles something more like a Cars and Coffee meet. Law enforcement officials in Pennsylvania have impounded more than 20 vehicles allegedly tied to a North Philadelphia drug trafficking ring. The remarkable lineup includes a twin-turbo Ferrari Testarossa, a Fisker Karma, and even a lowered turbocharged tow truck described by the state as being “similar to what’s seen in the Fast & Furious films.” It’s certainly not the kind of garage one would come across every day.
On Wednesday, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced new developments in an ongoing probe into what investigators call the “5th & Cornwall” organization, an alleged cocaine and crack distribution network operating out of North Philadelphia. Prosecutors had originally filed charges in September 2025 against several suspects, including the purported ringleader, Jimmie Torres, and his son, Matthew Torres. Authorities confirmed that the investigation is still active despite the earlier arrests.
Investigators said recent intelligence guided agents to a property located on North 3rd Street in Philadelphia, where they discovered a collection of vehicles believed to have been bought using drug proceeds. The same operation also led to three additional arrests reportedly linked to cocaine and crack seizures in the vicinity, connected to the same alleged trafficking network.
Among the standout vehicles seized were a twin-turbocharged 1988 Ferrari Testarossa, multiple Mazda RX-7 units, an Acura NSX, a grey 2017 Shelby Cobra Backdraft Roadster, a red Porsche 911, a yellow Austin-Healey Sprite, and a 2004 Beck Porsche Speedster replica. Possibly the most unusual inclusion in the list is an LS-engine-powered tow truck with exposed turbos protruding from its fenders, though the JDM-spec Mitsubishi Legnum wagon comes close in eccentricity.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has stated its intention to initiate forfeiture proceedings, aiming to prove that these vehicles were purchased with illicit funds. For now, the cars remain as evidence in a case that has already seen charges filed against 32 individuals.
As prosecutors continue to strengthen their case, one observation stands out: if the accusations prove to be accurate, this organization’s automotive preferences are far more sophisticated than those typically associated with criminal networks. The full list of seized vehicles showcases a collection that any car enthusiast would find intriguing.
