Now Congress has cornered the central government on this statement of Netanyahu. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has raised questions on the government’s silence by sharing a post on social media.

Jairam Ramesh said that America’s Vice President JD Vance, who is raising questions on Israel, has recently said that apart from America, Israel no longer has any powerful ally left. After which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to this claim by saying that the US Vice President is wrong and Israel has tremendous support in India. PM Netanyahu is wrong.

Congress cornered the government on Netanyahu’s statement

The Congress leader further said that there is no doubt that there are deep ties between Israel and the Modani empire and Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes a biased stance towards Israel. He said that crores of Indians condemn the genocide being carried out by Israel in Gaza, in which even children have not been spared. At the same time, they also criticize the alleged forced displacement of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, airstrikes and targeted killings in Iran, and Israel’s military campaign in southern Lebanon. He said that all these incidents are a matter of grave concern for humanity.

Jairam Ramesh said that the self-proclaimed, award-hungry world leader’s stony silence on these actions of Israel is a betrayal of India’s civilizational heritage and values. This is completely unacceptable. It is not an honor to receive a medal from PM Netanyahu, especially when he himself is isolated at the international level and even Prime Minister Modi’s good friend from the White House has disappointment and resentment towards him.
