PF Passbook: The EPFO passbook portal has resumed operations after a hiatus of nearly two weeks. Members can once again view their PF account balance, transaction history, and interest details online.

EPFO Passbook Check: If you are a member of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), this information is crucial for you. The EPFO passbook portal is back online after being unavailable for about two weeks. You can now log in to check your PF account balance and view details regarding transactions and interest. If you are waiting for the interest to be credited to your account, you can check your passbook.

Notably, EPFO had temporarily suspended online services due to database integration and software upgrades. With the passbook portal now operational, all EPFO members can avail themselves of these services. However, it may still take some time for older entries and pending requests to be updated.

What has changed on the passbook portal?

The EPFO passbook portal has been reactivated after nearly two weeks. Members can now log in using their UAN to view all updates related to their PF accounts. Thanks to the recent processing, clear details regarding financial year transactions are now visible. Additionally, it is reported that data from previous financial years will also be updated in the coming days.

When will the 8.25% interest be credited?

EPFO has fixed the annual interest rate at 8.25% for the financial year 2025-26.
The process of crediting the interest amount to accounts is expected to begin on July 15.
Once the interest is credited, you will be able to view the details in your passbook.
However, the entire process may take some time to complete.

Change in UAN activation method.

UAN can no longer be activated via the EPFO website. You can activate your UAN exclusively through the UMANG app.
Aadhaar-based Face Authentication Technology (FAT) will be used for this process.
Currently, some EPFO services on UMANG are temporarily unavailable due to a technical upgrade.

EPFO's advice to members:

According to the EPFO, the processing of PF claims and other online requests may take some time.
Therefore, avoid submitting repeated claims or online requests, as this could further slow down the processing.
If older records are not visible in your passbook, there is no need to panic, as they will be updated soon.
