Manchester City are reportedly making a strong push to secure the signature of Lille OSC’s young midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, aged 18, according to a report from The Athletic. However, Paris Saint-Germain are not involved in the race for the talented French club player.
Even before the FIFA World Cup, Bouaddi had already attracted attention from several major European teams. His performances for Morocco during the tournament in North America have only enhanced his reputation and market value. Discussions regarding his future are expected to take place soon, with Lille having delayed talks until after the midfielder’s return from the World Cup. While remaining at Lille OSC remains an option, the club are willing to consider a sale if a suitable offer is made. The French side are reportedly seeking a transfer fee in the region of €100 million, as reported by The Athletic.
In addition to Manchester City, both Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked with potential moves for the promising midfielder. Paris Saint-Germain, however, are not considered a contender for his signature. Should Manchester City succeed in securing Bouaddi’s services, their plan is to integrate him directly into their squad rather than loaning him back to Northern France.
