The second match of the 3-match series between India and England is being played at the Sophia Gardens Stadium in Cardiff. England won the toss and decided to bowl first. That means Team India got the batting first. Just before the match, the Indian team has suffered a big setback. Senior wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul is out due to injury. In his place, Ishan Kishan has been included in the playing XI.

Two changes in England team

England captain Harry Brook said that the pitch may provide some help to the fast bowlers in the beginning. So he decided to bowl first. The English team has come with two changes. Josh Tongue and Liam Dawson have been shown the door. Gus Atkinson and Saqib Mahmood have entered the playing XI.

No change in the bowling of Indian team

While the England team has gone with an extra fast bowler, the Indian team has decided to play both Axar Patel and Washington Sundar together again. Apart from taking 4 wickets in the first match of the series played at Edgbaston, Akshar led Team India to victory by playing an unbeaten half-century. Sundar had bowled 4 overs but could not take any wicket. However, he did wonders with the bat and with his help, he took the team to the threshold of victory.

Playing XI of both the teams:

India – Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill (captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Shivam Dubey, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Gurnoor Brar, Prasidh Krishna
