Prince William has broken his silence after the heartbreaking defeat England faced by Argentina in the Semi Final.
On July 15, one of the biggest games of England football’s history was played in Atlanda stadium.
The defending champions led by Lionel Messi came face-to-face with Harry Kane-led English side.
Despite scoring first, England lost the game by 2-1 and were knocked out, crushing many dreams.
The Prince of Wales took to X to express his disappointment after the game.
He wrote “Gutted. England, you gave it everything and we are all so proud of you.”
“Thank you to everyone on and off the pitch, for an incredible tournament. The fight and belief you have shown has inspired us all. The most complete England team in a tournament. Hold your heads high. W (sic)”
Previously, William had revealed on New Heights podcast that if Engand make it to the final, he will fly across the pond and attend the match on Sunday in New Jersey.
Argentina will now face Spain in the final on July 19 and the Three Lions will instead take on France in the third-place playoff on Saturday.
