'Committee Kurrollu' National Award win gives actor-producer Niharika Konidela confidence in her family's legacy

Actor-producer Niharika Konidela is celebrating a proud moment after her Telugu film ‘ Committee Kurrollu ’ won two honours at the 72nd National Film Awards . The film received the award for Best Telugu Film , while P. Ravi Kumar won the National Award for Best Make-up.

Niharika Konidela celebrates National AwardAs per a report by Mid-Day, to celebrate the achievement, Niharika Konidela hosted a special gathering with the cast and crew in Hyderabad. The event turned emotional as she spoke about what the award means to her and everyone who worked on the film.

Speaking at the celebration, Niharika said, “I’ve never felt this fulfilled in 32 years of my life.” She shared that she immediately connected with the story when director Yadu Vamsi first narrated it to her.

She also revealed that the director always believed ‘Committee Kurrollu’ would win a National Award. At first, she never imagined producing an award-winning film. However, once the shooting began, she added the dream of winning a National Award to her vision board. She said this honour feels like the result of that dream coming true.


Niharika Konidela’s emotional moment about her familyThe actor turned producer also spoke about being a part of the Konidela family, one of the biggest families in Telugu cinema . She thanked her father Naga Babu and her uncles Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan for the legacy they have created over the years.

Niharika Konidela shared that even after spending nearly ten years in the film industry since her acting debut with ‘Oka Manasu’ in 2016, she never truly felt that she had earned her place in the celebrated Mega family through her own work. She thanked ‘Committee Kurrollu’ for changing that feeling. She said the film finally gave her the confidence to believe that she deserved to be a part of her family’s cinematic legacy.
