PNB LBO Recruitment 2026: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has invited online applications for the recruitment of 545 Local Bank Officers (LBO) at the Junior Management Grade Scale-1 (JMGS-I) level. This recruitment drive covers various states. Candidates may apply for only one state. A merit list of selected candidates will be prepared on a state-wise and category-wise basis.

Who Can Apply?
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Possession of the degree or mark sheet at the time of application is mandatory.
Age Limit
Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 30 years
Age will be calculated as of 1 July 2026. Reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government norms.
The relaxation is as follows:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
PwBD: 10 years
Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
1984 Riot-affected: 5 years
Experience and Local Language
Candidates must possess at least one year of post-graduation work experience as a clerk or officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB). Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the local language of the state for which the application is being made is mandatory.
What is the salary for PNB LBO?
The pay scale for selected candidates will range from ₹48,480 to ₹85,920 per month. Additionally, benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), medical facilities, Leave Fare Concession (LFC), and other banking perks will be provided.
How will the selection take place?
The selection process will consist of four stages:
Online written examination
Document verification (screening)
Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT), if applicable
Personal interview
What are the terms of appointment?
Selected candidates will undergo a probation period of two years.
They must serve in the selected state for 9 years or until promotion to SMG Scale-IV, whichever occurs earlier.
Candidates are also required to execute a bond to serve the bank for 3 years; resigning before this period will entail a payment of ₹2 lakh.
At the time of joining the bank, the candidate's CIBIL score must be at least 680.
