Nandamuri Balakrishna undergoes successful knee surgery after 'NBK111' injury; actor stable

Nandamuri Balakrishna suffered an injury while working on his next tentatively named, ‘ NBK111 ’ directed by Gopichand Malineni . After being advised by the doctors for a surgery, latest reports suggest that the Tollywood veteran has completed the operation successfully and the actor is now stable.
Balakrishna undergoes successful surgeryAs per a report by Deccan Chronicle, according to the hospital, the actor-politician was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad after he hurt his knee during an action sequence. Doctors later found a serious injury that needed surgery. The surgery was completed successfully and he will remain under medical care before starting his recovery programme.
Balakrishna was taken to a private hospital in Hyderabad after getting injured during the shooting of ‘NBK111’. Medical tests showed that he had a tear in his left quadriceps tendon. He also suffered injuries to the supporting tissues around his knee.
The injured tendon connects the thigh muscles to the kneecap. The supporting tissues on both sides of the knee were also damaged. After a complete medical evaluation, a team of specialists decided that surgery was the best treatment.
Three-hour operation completed without problemsThe surgery lasted for more than three hours. During the operation, doctors removed the blood that had collected around the injured area. They then reattached the torn quadriceps tendon to the kneecap and repaired the damaged tissues around the knee.
The hospital confirmed that the surgery was completed successfully without any complications.

Earlier, director Gopichand Malineni revealed that Nandamuri Balakrishna suffered a minor muscle tear while shooting the film in Kakinada. He took to his X handle and wrote, “#NBK111 During the shooting in Kakinada, Nandamuri Balakrishna garu sustained a minor muscle tear in an action sequence. As per the doctors' advice, he needs to undergo a small minor surgery to recover fully as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, Nandamuri Balakrishna will also be working with ‘Devera’ director Koratala Siva for his next film.
