New Delhi: A shocking murder case has surfaced in Bihar’s Jehanabad district, where a 25-year-old woman was allegedly killed following an argument over a delay in serving food. Police said the victim’s brother-in-law has been taken into custody in connection with the crime.
Argument Over Meal Turns Fatal
The incident took place on Tuesday in Imadpur village under the jurisdiction of Parsa Bigha police station. The deceased woman was identified as Anshu Devi, wife of Dharmendra Kumar.
According to police, Anshu was alone at home when her brother-in-law Kunal Kumar returned from work and asked for food. A dispute allegedly broke out after the meal was served late, following which Kunal attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon.
Villagers Discover Gruesome Scene
Police said the accused allegedly severed the woman’s head after the attack and hung it from a banyan tree near the house.
The crime came to light when local villagers noticed the severed head hanging from the tree and informed the authorities. The incident created panic in the area.
Police Begin Investigation
A team from Parsa Bigha police station reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
The accused was reportedly caught by villagers and handed over to police. Officials have taken him into custody and started further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder.
Authorities are also examining all aspects of the case, including the sequence of events leading up to the alleged attack.
