Rajpal Yadav News | Rajpal Yadav Ghar Auction | Rajpal Yadav Properties Auction : The troubles of famous Bollywood comedian and actor Rajpal Yadav are showing no signs of abating. On July 10, the Delhi High Court convicted him in a cheque bounce case and sentenced him, and now he faces a new financial crisis.
The Central Bank of India is auctioning two of his properties due to his failure to repay a loan outstanding of over 16 crore rupees. The bank has taken possession of both properties, which were mortgaged when he took out the loan, and has set September 9th as the date for their auction.
Which properties will be auctioned?
One of the two properties being auctioned is located on Kachari Road in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, while the other is said to be located in Banda (Sagar district), Madhya Pradesh. According to an NDTV report, the total estimated value of these properties being auctioned is approximately ₹3.19 crore.
Why did the need for auction arise?
The entire matter is to the 2012 film “Aata Pata Lapata.” Rajpal Yadav himself directed the film. He took a loan from the Central Bank of India to produce and promote the film.
Unfortunately, the film flopped badly at the box office, and Rajpal Yadav couldn’t repay the loan on time. As interest accrued over the years, the amount has now ballooned to over ₹16 crore.
Rajpal Yadav’s brother’s side
Rajpal Yadav’s brother, Shripal Yadav, has also issued a statement on this entire incident. He says that this loan matter is quite old and negotiations are ongoing with the bank regarding a settlement.
Punishment and penalty in cheque bounce case
It’s worth noting that earlier on July 10, the Delhi High Court sentenced Rajpal Yadav to three months in prison for failing to repay a loan taken for the film. The court also imposed a fine of ₹1.05 crore on him.
Strict stand of the High Court: The court had clearly said that if Rajpal Yadav does not deposit the fine amount within the stipulated time, then he will have to serve an additional jail term of 6 months for each case.
His wife, Radha Yadav, also received no relief in this case. The court ordered her to pay ₹5,51,380 to the complainant. Failure to do so could result in her facing a simple imprisonment of three months.
However, giving him some relief, the High Court has put a stay of 2 months on the order of sending him to jail immediately.
upcoming big movies
Amidst these legal and financial hurdles, Rajpal Yadav’s film career is currently quite busy. Earlier this year, he appeared in the films “Bhoot Bangla” and “Welcome to the Jungle” with Akshay Kumar. He is also set to appear in the Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar starrer “Haiwaan.” He is also a key part of Salman Khan’s upcoming action-thriller “SVC63.”
