Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and several senior officials attended a special screening of the series “Operation Safed Sagar.” Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was unable to attend the event due to his busy schedule. Therefore, he shared a special video message for the series’ team. The Defense Minister praised the producers for bringing the inspiring story of the brave officers of the Indian Air Force to the audience.
The series “Operation Safed Sagar” depicts the extraordinary role of the Indian Air Force during the Kargil War. In a video message about the series, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, “You all deserve immense praise. You have presented “Operation Safed Sagar” with such vividness and truth. Through this web series, you have refreshed old memories. Our Indian Air Force changed the course and fate of the Kargil War; this series is a tribute to that courage. Until 1999, no air force in the world had conducted combat operations at altitudes of 15,000 to 18,000 feet. Our Air Force warriors displayed indomitable courage in that operation.” Through this series, you have preserved that courage, valor, and legacy, passing it on to the next generation.” He further praised those involved in the series. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh added, “I am sure our youth will love this story of ‘Operation Safed Sagar.’ Jai Hind.”
“Operation Safed Sagar” is streaming on Netflix starting today, August 7th. Directed by Oni Sen, created by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava. Produced by Sanjay Routray and Sarita Patil of Matchbox Shots LLP and Mehboob Pal Singh Brar of Feel Good Films.
