Parineeti Chopra is reportedly making her acting comeback after maternity leave with Malamaal Weekly 2. Raveena Tandon has also been roped in for the comedy sequel, which is expected to feature a new storyline inspired by the original's humour.
Actress Parineeti Chopra is set to return to the big screen after her maternity break with Malamaal Weekly 2, which was first released in 2006. The actress has reportedly joined the cast of the much-awaited sequel, alongside actress Raveena Tandon, adding more star power to the project. The original cast featured Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Riteish Deshmukh, Arbaaz Khan, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers of Malamaal Weekly 2 were keen to bring on board actors who could match the film’s comic tone and deliver strong performances. Both Parineeti and Raveena reportedly loved the script and their respective characters before signing the film.
