The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam dates for both these recruitments. **Exam Dates**
The SSC Stenographer and Hindi Translator recruitment exams will be conducted in Computer-Based Examination (CBE) mode. The Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2026 (Paper-I/CBE) is scheduled for September 8, 2026, while the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination, 2026 (CBE) will be held from September 9 to September 12, 2026.
**When Will Exam City Slips and Admit Cards Be Released?**
The SSC is likely to release the exam city slip for the recruitment exam approximately 10 days in advance. This will allow candidates to know their exam city and plan their travel accordingly. Admit cards will be made available for download 3 to 4 days prior to the exam date.
Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to carry their admit card, two color photographs, and a valid photo ID proof to the exam center. Entry into the examination hall will not be permitted without the admit card and ID card. For ID proof, candidates may use any of the following: Aadhaar Card/printout of e-Aadhaar, Voter ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, School/College ID Card, Employer ID Card (Government/PSU/Private), Ex-Servicemen Discharge Book issued by the Ministry of Defence, or any other photo-bearing ID card issued by the Central or State Government.
**Recruitment Details**
Through this recruitment drive, the Staff Selection Commission will fill a total of 84 vacancies for the posts of Junior Translator Officer (JTO), Junior Hindi Translator (JHT), and Senior Hindi Translator (SHT). Additionally, a total of 731 appointments will be made through the recruitment drive for Stenographer Grades C and D.
