SBI JA Recruitment 2026: The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) posts under the clerical cadre. The total number of vacancies is 9,124, comprising 7,680 regular posts and 1,444 backlog posts.

Out of the total 9,124 vacancies, posts will be filled in various regions, including 280 in Uttar Pradesh, 272 in Madhya Pradesh, 425 in Rajasthan, 704 in West Bengal, 25 in Himachal Pradesh, 351 in Chhattisgarh, and 25 in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. How to Apply

Candidates holding a bachelor's degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply. Students in the final year of their graduation are also eligible. Candidates must possess knowledge of the local language of the state for which they are applying; please consult the official notification for detailed eligibility criteria.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 20 and 28 years of age; the age calculation will be based on April 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit as per regulations.

Selection Process

The selection process for Junior Associate posts will be conducted in three stages. The first stage will be the preliminary examination. This online objective-type test will carry 100 marks and consist of 100 questions covering English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning. The duration of the exam will be one hour. The second stage will be the Main Examination. This is also an online objective test comprising 190 questions worth a total of 200 marks, covering Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Computer Aptitude. Candidates will have 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete the test.

Candidates who qualify in both these stages will be required to pass a Local Language Proficiency Test.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a basic monthly salary of ₹26,730. Details regarding applicable allowances can be found at the provided link.

Application Process

Eligible candidates can apply online via the bank's website. Candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹750.
