Introduction to Johnny Lever

Mumbai: Bollywood's famous comedian Johnny Lever needs no introduction today. Through his unique style, excellent mimicry and amazing expressions, he has made the audience laugh for years. But his journey to reach this point was not easy. Johnny's real name is John Prakash Rao Janumala, and he was born on 14 August 1957 in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. However, his childhood was spent in Mumbai. The financial condition of the family was weak, due to which he had to leave studies after seventh grade. He started working at an early age to support his family and during this time he used to sell pens on the streets of Mumbai.

The biggest turning point in Johnny's career came when actor Sunil Dutt recognized his talent. Sunil Dutt gave him an opportunity to work in the film 'Dard Ka Rishta'. During his debut in films, Johnny mostly got small and supporting roles, but his style was such that even in small roles, it attracted the audience's attention. In his long film career, Johnny Lever has worked in more than 300 films. He shared the screen with many big actors and gave his unique style to the comedy of Hindi cinema.
