Actor Govinda has publicly urged his wife, Sunita Ahuja, to refrain from using abusive language, particularly references involving mothers and sisters, saying such behavior could set a negative example for youngsters.

In a video, Govinda addressed Sunita directly and said she had recently been using “a lot of abusive language especially on mother and sister”. He asked her to stop, warning that young people may imitate the behavior of public figures.

“Youngsters expect you to behave in a way that they will follow it. So, if people start abusing your mother and sister, then we will all be very embarrassed. Don't do this,” he said.

Govinda also said repeated use of such language had made the words “mother” and “sister” cheap, describing them as “sasta”. He added that such conduct was not expected from her.

His remarks come amid renewed public attention on the couple's personal life and Sunita's candid comments about their marriage. She has spoken about alleged affairs involving Govinda and said she had endured difficult phases in their relationship because of her love for him.

The controversy gained further attention after Govinda was recently seen at an airport with newcomer actress Komal Rani Swarnkar, who has been linked to him amid relationship rumours. Sunita subsequently referred to Govinda as a “sugar daddy” while commenting on his reported association with Komal and their upcoming film Roopa.

She also criticized Govinda for being seen with a younger woman, saying, “Beti ki umar ki ladki lekar ghoom raha hai hai, shame on him.”

Asked by photographers about Govinda promoting Roopa with Komal, Sunita reportedly said the film should first be completed, adding that promotion comes later.

Sunita, who was last seen on the reality show Lock Uphas also been seen using abusive language casually during conversations with fellow contestants, particularly while discussing matters to Govinda.
