Lucknow. UP ATS has arrested Mohammad Zafar, a 24-year-old youth associated with Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. Zafar, originally from Purnia district of Bihar, has studied in a madrasa in Meerut. According to UP ATS, he used to take donations from people in the name of Madarsa and send the money to the terrorist organization based in Pakistan.

UP ATS had received information that Zafar is influenced by Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar and is inciting people for violent jihad by sharing his inflammatory and jihadi speeches on social media.
During investigation, this was confirmed from his social media account. According to UP ATS, Jihadi WhatsApp groups of Pakistan were found in Zafar's mobile. There were discussions to Jihad and donations. He also used to give statements to Jihad and Khilafat on Facebook with his face covered. Later, he joined the jihadi group of Jaish-e-Mohammed and came in contact with the Pakistani handler and offered help in jihad.
On the request of the handler, Zafar tried to send the money. Later he asked for a Binance account and after being in touch with suspicious Pakistani people, he sent money in the form of USDT several times through Binance. UP ATS has registered an FIR against Zafar. The investigating agency is investigating the entire network.
