Siddharthnagar. Inflation has started spoiling the kitchen budget. The sudden rise in the prices of sugar, jaggery and dry fruits has increased the burden on the pockets of the common consumer. The biggest increase has come in the price of sugar. Sugar, which was sold at Rs 48 per kg 15 days ago, has now reached Rs 62 per kg. In the last three days only, its price has increased by about Rs 10 per kg.
There has also been an increase of about Rs 500 on a 50 kg sugar packet in three days. The effect of increase in sugar prices is visible from home kitchen to sweet shops. Due to the use of sugar in tea, sweets and festive dishes, its demand is going to increase in the coming days. Sant Gopal, Rajan, Deep Narayan, Ganesh Shukla, Raj Kumar etc. of his block area have demanded the government to curb this rising inflation.
