Vietnam celebrates 2-0 victory over Thailand in ASEAN Cup final first leg

By nearly 11 p.m., Dong Khoi, Le Lai and Ton Duc Thang streets, along with areas around Me Linh Square, Ben Thanh Market and Ba Son Bridge, remain crowded with celebrating fans. Long lines of vehicles fill the streets as red national flags flutter amid honking horns and cheers.
My Tho, 35, says many fans had expected Vietnam to win and prepared in advance to take to the streets. “Everyone wants to enjoy the atmosphere,” she says.
