In an exciting match played in Lucknow, the teams of Lucknow Falcons and Noida Kings were face to face. Both the teams were struggling at the bottom of the points table, due to which both the sides gave their all to win this match. However, sudden torrential rain during the match caused major disruption in the game and the match had to be stopped midway.
The rain was so heavy that it was not possible to restart the game, due to which the umpires had to resort to the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) rule to decide the match. Lucknow Falcons were declared the winners after calculation under DLS rule. Thus, Lucknow registered its victory by 12 runs in this tough match on the basis of DLS method.
With this win, Lucknow Falcons have taken an important step towards improving their position in the points table, while Noida Kings have once again faced disappointment. This match, affected by bad weather and rain, once again proved that uncertainties in cricket can change the course of the match at any time. At the time of stoppage of the match, players from both teams were performing to their full potential on the field, but ultimately the weather played a major role in deciding the outcome.
