Upcoming SUV: Hyundai Creta is among the popular mid-size SUVs in the Indian market. The company is now working on its new generation. The new 2027 Hyundai Creta has been spotted several times during testing. Spy shots have revealed the changes in its design and features. It is believed that the new Creta can be launched in India next year. Creta will come in a new design.
Many changes can be seen in the exterior of the new Creta seen during testing. It is expected to have newly designed bumpers at the front and rear, new alloy wheels and updated lighting elements. Apart from this, changes can also be made in the new external rear-view mirror and quarter panel.
There will be changes in the interior also
The cabin of the new Creta can be made more modern than the current model. According to media reports, it may get new front seats, new upholstery and the facility of boss mode for the front passenger.
The SUV is also expected to be given a new dashboard and curved screen setup. Apart from this, there is a possibility of getting Plios touchscreen infotainment system. This could mark the launch of Hyundai’s new software platform in the Indian market.
Hybrid option with existing engine
Hyundai has not yet shared official information about the engine and technical specifications of the new Creta. However, it is expected that the petrol and diesel engine options of the current model may be continued. With this the company can also introduce a new hybrid powertrain.
Some updates to design and features can also be seen in the electric version of the new Creta.
Plan to introduce 26 new models by 2030
Hyundai had informed about its future plans for India during its 2026 CEO Investor Day. The company plans to introduce 26 new models and updated models in India by 2030. The plan also includes a new E-segment electric SUV and a new mid-size SUV with petrol-diesel engines.
Testing continues in India
The upcoming SUV has been spotted testing in India. This indicates that their development work is progressing rapidly. However, Hyundai has not yet given any clear information regarding the launch of extended-range electric vehicles in India.
