Mirzapur. A case of alleged illegal occupation of government premises land by a person has come to light in the Government Colony located in Drummondganj town. The villagers allege that a person named Sabir has taken over the place by keeping tires etc. in the colony premises.

The game of alleged occupation of government property continues! The premises are surrounded by tires in the colony, even the public toilet is seized by the son-in-law.

The villagers say that government property is not the private property of any particular person, then with whose permission the colony premises are being encroached upon like this? It is alleged that the person concerned is not forced by any financial crisis,

Rather, they are allegedly occupying the government premises on the strength of dominance and arbitrariness. The question is also being raised that for how long will the responsible officials remain silent despite having information about the alleged encroachment of the government colony and toilet built for public use.

The local villagers have demanded the district administration to immediately investigate the matter and free the government colony from encroachment. Villagers say that if action is not taken in time, the courage of those who encroach on government properties will increase further. Now it remains to be seen whether the district administration takes cognizance of this serious complaint and conducts an investigation on the spot or whether this matter of alleged encroachment on government property will continue to fall victim to the indifference of the responsible departments.
