A 68-year-old French national has been deported from Indonesia after overstaying his immigration permit by 481 days.
He previously held a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) for investment purposes, which was valid until April 18, 2025, The Bali Times reported.
He was deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali on Sept. 2 under the supervision of officers from the Singaraja Immigration Office.

The man claimed he had applied to extend his stay permit in March 2025 through a third party. However, the extension process was not completed, causing his permit to expire while he remained in Indonesia.
Immigration authorities recorded him as having overstayed for 481 days, from April 18, 2025, to Aug. 12, 2026.
Under Indonesia’s immigration law, a foreign national who overstays for more than 60 days may be subject to deportation and other immigration measures.
Late last month, a 30-year-old French man was also deported from Bali after immigration authorities said he was allegedly involved in producing and promoting sexual content through an online platform, Antara News Agency reported.
