Gillespie also raised serious questions on the communication system of Pakistan Cricket Board. He claims that some of the players who were dropped from the team did not get information from the team management itself. Reports also claimed that some Pakistani players came to know about their exclusion after seeing the PCB’s statement on social media or getting information from family and friends. Gillespie says that players should not be treated like this.

Big change happened after the defeat against England

Actually, Pakistan started the three-Test series against England very poorly. In the first Test played at Headingley, England defeated Pakistan by an innings and 103 runs. After this, in the second test played at Lord’s also, Pakistan had to face defeat by 194 runs. After two consecutive defeats, England took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

After these defeats, PCB made major changes in the team. Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, opener Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Aga, spinner Ali Usman, fast bowler Khurram Shahzad, all-rounder Aamir Jamal and batsman Awais Zafar were recalled.

Apart from this, Pakistan also removed head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul from their posts. Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke have been given the responsibility of the team for the third test.
