WhatsApp chats are end-to-end encrypted but most people will say that the messaging app doesn't show it to everyone. But soon, you will see a change in the settings as the encryption label is now appearing on the profile icon at the top of the chat screen. WABetainfo was the first to report the feature being tested and those using the Android beta version will start seeing the new change in the next few days.

WhatsApp users used to have to go through multiple loops to see if their chats were encrypted, but that changes now. The beta version rolling out to select users suggests that the final release is not far away and we may soon get the new label for all WhatsApp users.

It is likely that people sending messages from WhatsApp will know that all their content sent through other apps will also be encrypted to the highest standards.
