On March 30 and 31, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) will remain open in order to help people finish their tax-saving activities before the fiscal year ends. The action taken by LIC comes after banks said that their branches would stay open on Saturday and Sunday.

The state-owned LIC issued a statement stating that it has chosen to provide this particular protection to subscribers based on advice from the insurance regulator, IRDAI.
“In order to avoid any hardship to the policyholders, it has been decided that the offices under the jurisdiction of zones and divisions will be kept open for normal operations as per official working hours on 30.3.2024 and 31.3.2024,” LIC said in a statement.
Earlier this month, the RBI gave banks instructions to allow government transactions to take place at their designated branches until regular business hours on March 30 and 31, 2024.
