Streamlined correction process: The recent notification from UIDAI marks a significant development towards ease of correcting Aadhaar details. Earlier, correcting mistakes required frequent visits to Aadhaar centers. However, with the new update, almost all the fixes can be easily done online, saving people from the hassle of visiting centers for minor updates.
Introduction of the new form: To facilitate both new Aadhaar card applications and updates, UIDAI has introduced a new form replacing the old version. This revised form provides additional options, giving individuals more flexibility to make necessary changes or corrections to their Aadhaar details.
Form variants for NRIs: Recognizing the needs of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), UIDAI has issued different forms, namely Form-2 and Form-3, for different categories depending on the residential status and address documentation.
