The dream of having a toned body comes to all of us. While many individuals adopt a combination of fad diets and exercise to shed those extra kilos, there is also no denying that belly fat is one of the most difficult parts of the body to get rid of. With the emergence of social media, strange diets come in and out of fashion. From the 2-2-2 technique to the carnivore diet, social media influencers take to their handles to share their fat loss journeys. Now, social media influencer Ansh Tripathi shared how he lost weight by following a strict diet plan. He also listed 10 food items that one must avoid for faster fat loss. Let’s have a look at the high-protein diet for fat loss:

Sweetened Breakfast Cereals: First and foremost, the user was advised to avoid sweetened breakfast cereals. These breakfast cereals marketed as healthy are low in fibre and high in sugar. Instead, he suggested choosing whole-grain cereals or oats with no added sweeteners.

Flavoured Yogurt: Fruit-flavoured yoghurt often contains extra sugars. For a taste boost, opt for plain Greek yoghurt and top it with your favourite fresh fruits.

Instant Noodles: While convenient, instant noodles are high in processed carbs, sodium, and unhealthy fats. He asked weight loss enthusiasts to replace them with whole grain options or homemade noodle soups containing fresh veggies.

Sugary Beverages: The next things to avoid are sweetened teas, packaged fruit juices, and energy drinks, as they are high in sugar and zero calories. Instead, start drinking water, herbal teas, or unsweetened beverages.

Creamy Salad Dressings: Mayonnaise and other creamy dressings are high in unhealthy fats and calories. Go for a lighter option like olive oil-based vinaigrettes or yoghurt dressings.

Processed Cheese Spreads: Many cheese spreads contain excessive levels of salt and unhealthy fats. Choose natural cheese slices or spreads with no extra additives.

High-Calorie Biryani: Traditional biryani can be high in calories because of the excess amount of ghee, fried onions, and fatty meats. Choose biryani with lean meats or vegetables and keep portion sizes in check.
Sweetened Flavoured Milk: Flavoured milk drinks, such as rose milk or falooda, are high in sugar. If you crave something sweet, make your flavoured milk at home with unsweetened milk and natural flavourings such as cardamom or saffron.

Restaurant Buffets: With a wide variety of high-calorie dishes, buffets often encourage overeating. Always choose smaller servings and fill your plate with salads, grilled protein, and vegetables.

High-Calorie Dals and Curries: Cream-based dals and rich gravies can be high in calories and saturated fat. Opt for basic, lightly spiced dals and curries prepared from lentils, beans, or vegetables.
